Eugenie is a mermaid, Igor a fisherman.

One stormy night, Eugenie saves Igor from drowning. They fall in love. But Igor can't leave under the sea.  Eugenie can't leave on the land.They make the promise to be together one day.She decides to  take wings and fly. He jumps into the water and sinks.

Since then, the fisherman cries  diamonds tears. The mermaid cries rain tears.
