On the way to school is a 26x26 minutes documentary series filmed throughout the world, which tells the story of the precarious journeys pupils from different countries around the world take to school.

On the Way to School, the series, takes up the universal theme of the search for a better life through education. A goal that these school children can only attain after travelling the long road that separates their home from their school.

Synopsis:

Erbol, Youssef, Cho, Francklin, Olivier, from every corner of the world, each child imagines their classrooms. Their horizon is the blackboard.
They have in common a thirst for learning.
But to reach the desks of their faraway schools, they must brave thousands of difficulties along the way.
Their routes to knowledge, often taken within majestic landscapes, are as perilous as thy are exhilarating.
